Draco1962
I have tested MAME Screensaver and it is not working. I have Windows 10 x64 and I am using MAMEUI64 v0.222. MAMEUI64 has worked in the past as well as "vanilla" MAME.
Tom Speirs
Does windows even still have a screensaver!? Where is it?
Tom Speirs
Oh I can see it does its just very hidden. Is there still much demand for this application? I feel windows screensavers have gone the same way as adobe flash!? If there is demand Ill spend some time on it but I really don't think there is. Draco1962
You have to type "screensaver" in the search window for Windows 10. I actually use screensavers as burn-in is still a thing with LCD displays, believe it or not.
Tom Speirs
If you want to get technical burn in was why screensavers were created but since about 2003 or so we now have power save and standby and screensavers are obsolete.
Draco1962
Like some, I leave my PC on for several at a time and neither the PC or TV invoke a power save while the PC is on. I have a faint burn-in unfortunately from when a screensaver failed to load overnight. You've got a lot on your plate with 5 frontends and life outside of that. I understand if you haven't the time or are no longer supporting the screensaver, that's OK. I've got other alternatives I can use.
Vaughn S
Not working for me also. I am running Windows 10 Pro 21H2 x64 with the latest "everything" from Microsoft updates (including .NET) and MAME 0.245 At first I thought "maybe" it was because there were spaces in my directory structure, such as "c:\Program Files (Mine)", but once I removed them and re-created the MAME games list, I get the same problem: The screen briefly flashes the MAME logo on a white background for a split-second, then reverts back to the Screen Saver settings.
